Village people gather straw and dry leaves to make fire to warm themselves. The old and children bask in the sun. Usually people get up late. In a winter moming people in Bangladesh enjoy different kinds of 'pithas'. Delicious sweetmeats are also prepared with date juice. But a winter morning is a cures for the poor. They suffer much for want of warm clothes. The scene of a winter morning disappears as the day advances. A winter morning is a pleasant for someone and unpleasant for the other.

We have fewar power plants to generate power compared to the huge demand. As a result most often occurs short fall of electricity. So to copy with the shortage of power generation, the flow of electricity of some areas is stopped for some time. This result in load-shedding. Load-shedding causes a great harm to the socio-economic development of a country. Mills and factories are paralysed for the time being. Shop, hospital etc are affected by it. Production is hampered owing to it. Domestic life also becomes painful. Students, housewives, patients all a victim to load-shedding. As load-shedding causes great suffering to the people and irreparable loss to the economy, it should not be continued. More power-plants should be set up. A part from this, electricity should be distributed in a planned way. Above all, the government should take effective steps to stop load-shedding.

এই কালকে পড়বো-র পুনরাবৃত্তি করতে করতে পরীক্ষা দ্বারপ্রান্তে দণ্ডায়মান। অথচ সিলেবাসের কিছুই পড়ার সুযোগ মেলে নি। এই সমস্যা আমাদের সবার বেশ পরিচিত এক সমস্যা। অথচ সময়ের পড়াগুলোকে যদি সময়েই শেষ করে ফেলা হতো তবে কিন্তু এই বিদঘুটে বিড়ম্বনায় পড়তে হয় না। অনেক উপদেশ হলো। যেটা হবার সেটা যেহেতু হয়েই গেছে, এবার অল্প যেটুকু সময় বাকি সে সময়টাকে কাজে লাগাতে পারলেও কিন্তু বিপদ অনেকাংশে কেটে যাবে।

ছাত্রজীবনে এই “কালকে পড়বো……” – এর চক্করে ফেঁসে গিয়ে একদম শেষ মুহূর্তে এসে কান্নাকাটি আমিও করেছি। কিন্তু কান্নাকাটি করে লাভ যে খুব একটা হবে তা কিন্তু নয়। বরং এতেও সেই সময়ই নষ্ট হবে। পরীক্ষার একদম দ্বারপ্রান্তে দাঁড়িয়ে, এমতাবস্থায় প্রস্তুতি নেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে সবচেয়ে বেশি যেটা প্রয়োজন সেটা হলো মাথা ঠান্ডা রেখে কুশলী হয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া।

পরীক্ষাকে দরজার বাইরে দাঁড় করিয়ে রেখে পুরোপুরি প্রস্তুতি নিতে করণীয় কিছু কৌশল জেনে নেওয়া যাক তাহলে।

মাথা ঠান্ডা রাখা জরুরি: প্রস্তুতি হয় নি অথচ পরীক্ষার আর তর সইছে না! এই সমস্যাটা তোমার আমার সবার পরিচিত সমস্যা। আমাদের প্রত্যেকেই জীবনের কোনো না কোনো পরীক্ষায় এই পাপের ফল ভোগ করে এসেছি। কাজেই পরীক্ষার প্রস্তুতি তুমি বাদে বাকি সবাই নিয়ে ফেলেছে এমন ভাবাটা অবান্তর। বিশ্বাস না হলে তোমার বন্ধুকে প্রশ্ন করে দেখো, উওরটা সেই ঘুরেফিরে তোমার মতোই হবে।

তাই, শুধু শুধু হতাশ হয়ে মুষড়ে না পড়ে অল্প যেইটুকু সময় বাকি আছে সে সময়টাকে কাজে লাগানোর চেষ্টা করো।
পড়াশোনায় চিন্তায় পড়াশোনাকে ভুলে যাওয়া যাবে না: ইন্টারনেটে একটা বেশ পরিচিত মিম আছে যেখানে বলা হয়ে থাকে,

“পড়াশোনার চিন্তায় পড়াশোনা হচ্ছে না।”

পরীক্ষা ঠিক আগমুহূর্তে আমাদের সবার এইরকমের একটা অনুভূতি হয়ে থাকে। প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া হয় নি; আহ! কী করলাম এটা; এখন আমার কী হবে; আমি তো ফেল করবো; কিচ্ছু তো পড়া হয় নি…… এবং আরো অনেক কিছু। এইসব দুশ্চিন্তা করতে গিয়ে আসল কাজখানাই আর হয় না। এসব দুশ্চিন্তা যাতে কখনোই তোমার শেষ মুহূর্তের প্রস্তুতি নেবার ক্ষেত্রে কোনোরকম প্রতিবন্ধকতা না সৃষ্টি করে। যেটা হবার সেটা তো হয়েই গেছে। তাই সেটা নিয়ে ভাবতে গিয়ে আবারো সময় নষ্ট করাটা বোকামী ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।

তাই, পরীক্ষার আগে অতিরিক্ত দুশ্চিন্তাকে প্রশ্রয় নয়।

Preposition নিয়ে আর নয় হতাশা !! আসুন শিখে নেই preposition এর কিছু শর্টকাট

Preposition নিয়ে আমাদের মনে সবসময়ই একটা ভয় কাজ করে। কোন শব্দের পর কি বসবে- এই নিয়ে নানা চিন্তায় নাজেহাল হয়ে যাই আমরা। এডমিশন টেস্টের এক্স্যাম হলে বসে অল্প সময়ে সেটা ভাবাও বেশ কঠিন হয়ে যায়। এজন্যে Preposition ব্যাপারটাকে নিয়ে হতাশার অবসান ঘটিয়ে এক্স্যামে ঠিকভাবে উত্তর করতে কিছু শর্টকাট শিখে ফেলি!

শর্টকাট ১:
In, on, at এসবের প্যাচে পড়ে প্রায়ই উত্তর ভুল হয় আমাদের। সহজেই কিন্তু এগুলোর সমাধান করা যায়।

১। যখনই কোন বার দেয়া থাকবে, যেমন Sunday, Monday… তখন তার আগে on বসবে। কোন তারিখ যেমন ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি থাকলেও তার আগে on বসবে।

২। যেকোন জায়গায় যদি সময় দেয়া থাকে, যেমন 10.00 AM, 12.00 PM তখন তার আগে সবসময় at বসবে।

৩। তবে আলাদা করে শুধু বছর থাকলে যেমন 1972, 1999 বা মাস যেমন June, July থাকলে তার আগে বসবে in।

শর্টকাট ২
একটা বৃত্ত ধরা হোক, যেটাকে আমরা বলতে পারি Preposition Circle। এখন এই বৃত্তের একটা ছবি আঁকিয়ে এখান থেকেই Preposition এর ব্যবহারগুলো বের করতে পারি, যেমন above/over হবে বৃত্তটির একদম ওপর দিয়ে। একদম নিচ দিয়ে যাবে under/beneath। লেখাটায় জুড়ে দেয়া ভিডিওটা থেকে জলজ্যান্ত সেই বৃত্তটিকে দেখে নিতে পারো!

একটু নিয়ম করে ডেইলি যদি পড়তে থাকো, একসময় না একসময় এগুলো আয়ত্বে চলে আসবেই!

শর্টকাট ৩
আমরা সবাই জানি, কোথাও গেলে, যেখান থেকে রওনা দিয়েছি সেটা হচ্ছে From, আর যেখানে যাচ্ছি সেটা হলো to। Preposition এর বেলাতেও ব্যাপারটা একই রকম। এখানে বাগড়া বাধায় towards। এই towards কিন্তু মোটেও to এর মতো না। towards মানে হলো কোন একটা ডিরেকশনে যাচ্ছে।

between আর among এর মধ্যেও একই সমস্যা হয়। ব্যাপারটা আসলে সিম্পল। between হয় যখন দুটি জিনিস বা দুজনের মধ্যে তুলনা করা হয়। among হয় যখন দুই এর বেশি জিনিস নিয়ে তুলনা করা হয়ে থাকে।

শর্টকাট ৪
since আর for এর সাথে till/until নিয়েও প্রায়ই বিবাদ লাগে। এখানে তোমাদেরকে দেখতে হবে, since হয় যখন কোন কাজ শুরু হচ্ছে। for হলো পুরো কাজের সময়টা। আর till/until হলো শেষ অবধি!

শর্টকাট ৫
এমন কিছু Preposition থাকে যেগুলো কোন নিয়মে পড়ে না। এদের Appropriate Preposition বলা হয়ে থাকে। যেমন able to, capable of। এগুলোর ব্যাপারটা হচ্ছে যে একটু নিয়ম করে ডেইলি যদি পড়তে থাকো, একসময় না একসময় এগুলো আয়ত্বে চলে আসবেই!
